Students are returning to Tallahassee soon – is your business prepared?
Florida State University, Florida A & M University, and Tallahassee Community College – all students are returning in the coming weeks. While the city’s population increases, it also presents a challenge for businesses: depending on the nature of your business, are you prepared?
Physical Examinations: Is your team ready and able to work? If you have to hire additional staff during this time of the year, have they all had physical exams? Is everyone free of injury? Does your team require specialized Department of Transportation (DOT) physicals for Commercial Driver’s Licenses (CDLs)?
Vaccines, including flu vaccines: Is your team protected against the annual flu? Do your teammates need flu shots to increase protection against the annual influenza virus? Flu season is not far off and one flu shot can protect against unwanted days off of work.
COVID-19 Testing: Leon County is still an area of high transmission according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in August of 2022, and the Omicron variant of COVID-19 is causing increased infections. While the best defense against COVID-19 is vaccination, the only way to determine if a teammate is infected with COVID-19 is testing.
